My favorite book series is The Cat Who... series by Lilian Jackson Braun. It's about a newspaperman named James Qwilleran and his two Siamese cats, who help him solve mysteries. The books (I think there's 24+ books out there, and sadly, the series starts to decline around book 21) are really interesting and often cute or funny. Every book has at least one "aww" moment with the cats, Koko and Yum Yum. And lots of hilarious Qwilleran moments, plus mystery of course!

I constructed Qwill's head with my Corel Gallery Magic & Corel Print House Magic Lite. I still love my Corel software, even though it's about 8 years old.
This is a picture of Edward McDowell, Qwilleran's lookalike, as mentioned in
The Cat Who Said Cheese, book #18.

January 2008: I'm reading these books again. They're like old friends; some of them I haven't read since high school, and have funny stuff written in them.

"Yum Yum, Qwill, Koko" design #2
This (below) is the most popular and my favorite.
"I love Koko and Yum Yum" design #1
"LJB Books are the Cat's Meow"

Lara's TCW Pinback Buttons!
I am an aspiring graphic artist (currently attending the Art Institute of Charleston, rock on) and thought it would be cool to design pinback buttons that feature my favorite newspaper man and kitties. This was a few years ago. Want a button to show your love for LJB, Qwill, and the cats? Have an idea for a button? Contact me! I'm not doing this anymore, but I have some buttons left over from back in the day. I have two 2 1/4" buttons with design #2, three 1 1/2" buttons with design #1, and two 1 1/2" buttons with design #1. (The pictures below will give you an idea of what I mean.)
They cost $2.00 each for the 1 1/2" and $2.25 each for the 2 1/4" (with nothing extra for shipping). You can pay by check, money order or cash (at your own risk).
